Its time to hand out some more Helmet Stickers from last weekend’s conference game against the Georgia Bulldogs. The Tigers ended Georgia streak of 15 straight home wins on Saturday behind a balanced rushing attack and two touchdowns caught by L’Damian Washington. The Tigers went to 6-0 and jumped up to 14th in the polls following the win. Missouri has also already beaten their win total from all of last year.

It was a great win for Missouri, probably the best win since Missouri joined the SEC last season. The Tigers gained a lot of respect from not only the rest of the SEC after knocking off a top ten team but from fans and press members. Fans and members of the media alike now recognize Missouri as a real player in the SEC after the big win.

A big win for the Tigers also means we have some Helmet Stickers to give out. Helmet Stickers are awarded to players who had outstanding performances or made amazing plays in the previous week’s game. Next week, we will give you a running list of who has the most Helmet Stickers so far on the season. If you think we should have given a Helmet Sticker to a player, voice your opinion in the comments section below. Here are this week’s winners.

Michael Sam and Shane Ray- Sam just keeps making plays for the Tigers. Against Georgia, Shane Ray sacked Aaron Murray, causing him to fumble. Sam picked up that fumble and returned it 21 yards for a touchdown to put Mizzou up big at the half. It was an amazing play, and credit both Tiger defensive ends for making it. Ray made a great move on the end to get to Murray and force the fumble, and Sam picked it up and rumbled in for the huge momentum-changing score.

Bud Sasser- This was one of the best plays not just from the Mizzou UGA game but from the entire last weekend of college football. Maty Mauk was in at quarterback, and the offense was trying to score and defend a two point Tiger lead. On 2nd and 1, the Tigers ran a trick play- a double pass from Mauk to Bud Sasser to L’Damian Washington. Sasser delivered a 40 yard strike and changed the game in the process. Also credit Washington with an amazing catch in the end zone. Speaking of Washington…

L’Damian Washington- L’Damian had a monster game and played like a senior leader of his football team. Washington pulled in 115 yards from the air and caught two touchdowns, including the pass from Sasser. He didn’t just make that play however, he came up big for the Tigers throughout the whole game. Even though his nickname isn’t as cool as Dorial Green-Beckham, he is just as important to this football team. Defenses key into DGB, often times leaving Washington in one on one coverage. If Washington can make plays and play like he did against UGA for the rest of the season, it will really stretch defenses as they decide to double either DGB or Washington.
