Maty Mauk Wins ESPN SEC Helmet Sticker for Week 8

Maty Mauk made an impressive debut yesterday against Florida, and the country noticed. The Tigers should be ranked in the Top 10 of the AP and BCS Polls, and they have a tough matchup next week, homecoming against South Carolina. Here are ESPN’s SEC Helmet Stickers for week 8:

Nick Marshall, QB, Auburn

Mike Evans, WR, Texas A&M

Marquez North, WR, Tennessee

Bo Wallace, QB, Ole Miss

Maty Mauk, QB, Missouri- “Rust? What rust? With James Franklin sidelined, Maty Mauk stepped in under center for Missouri and didn’t miss a beat. Coach Gary Pinkel said it was the toughest spot he’d ever put a quarterback in, but his 6-foot-1 freshman showed poise and precision leading the offense against a Florida defense that ranked among the best in the nation. Mauk completed exactly 50 percent of his passes (18-for-36) for 295 yards and a touchdown as Missouri beat the Gators to remain in the driver’s seat to win the SEC East.”
