Get the Quad ready again.

A big time television program will once again make Columbia Missouri the locale for its broadcast, as the new kid on the block SEC NATION will bring its analysts to MU’s campus on Saturday to preview the Missouri Tigers game with the Kentucky Wildcats.

The program in its first year of telecast may be on the SEC Network, but it has ESPN in its DNA. So it’s no surprise the network decided to turn their flagship preview broadcast into a road show, after the success of ESPN’s College Gameday.

And wait– there will be a Tim Tebow siting on campus too. The former Florida star quarterback joins SEC Network table analysts Paul Finebaum and Marcus Spears, with college football fan favorite Joe Tessitore hosting on the grassy knolls of Missouri’s beautiful campus.

  • It’s the second time in five years that a big name sports show has brought its traveling set to Columbia, the first being in 2010, when College Gameday broadcast from the same spot– the Francis Quadrangle– in the shadows of the famous Columns in front of Jesse Hall on campus.

The last experience with a game preview show was one of the most memorable moments in Mizzou fan history, seeing such a reputable show air from Columbia, then watching as the Tigers stunned arguably the best team in the country, Oklahoma, all culminating in the fans storming Faurot field.

It will be the second time in 2014– and second consecutive week– that Kentucky has been featured on SEC Nation, the first coming last week when the Wildcats played Mississippi State in Lexington.

The show will air on Saturday at 9 a.m. Columbia time, and fans are encouraged to crowd the quad and get in the spirit for the huge SEC East match up with a surprising Kentucky team.

The game will kickoff on Saturday at 3:00 p.m. on SEC Network.
