On Tuesday, Missouri announced its series against UCF, and now we have a better picture of the full slate of SEC games for the 2017-18 season.
On Wednesday, a home-and-home series starting in 2017 between Missouri and UCF was announced; later on Thursday, the SEC released each school’s slate of opponents, sans dates and times. So, we’re getting there.
Missouri enters the 2017 season without having won a game on the road since they played Arkansas on January 28, 2014. That’s a 35-game losing streak on the road.
Let’s begin with the dates we do know. The Tigers’ season begins on November 10, with a home game against Iowa State.

Missouri will also play in the 2017 AdvoCare Invitational in Orlando, Fla., where the Tigers will play in a field against any of the following programs from Nov. 23-26: UCF, Marist, St. John’s, Long Beach State, Oregon State, and Nebraska.
Mizzou is then scheduled to play Stephen F. Austin on December 19, followed by the “Braggin’ Rights” game against Illinois, sometime between December 20 and 23rd.
Peppered throughout the season, the Tigers will face their conference opponents.
The home slate is set to be against Arkansas, Auburn, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Mississippi, Mississippi State, Texas A&M, and Tennessee.
Missouri’s road schedule includes Alabama, Arkansas, Kentucky, LSU, Mississippi, Mississippi State, South Carolina, Tennessee, and Vanderbilt.
I expect that the Tigers will fare (much) better this season than in recent years, even if based solely on the incoming talent. We will soon see how quickly Missouri breaks its losing streak, since the team’s first road game is early in the season.

The game I am most excited to see, obviously, will be against Kentucky – both rounds. Games against Tennessee, South Carolina, and Vanderbilt are intriguing, also.
