Missouri Football: Game times for Georgia and Idaho announced
After receiving its fifth loss of the season, the Missouri Tigers prepare to travel to Athens, GA to take on the Bulldogs, followed by a visit by Idaho.
Our Georgia game preview will come to you later this week, as will the Idaho game preview, but why not share the game time releases, in the meantime?
Following a 4-8 season in 2016, it’s come as a surprise that so far in 2017, Missouri has played in three prime time games, while only winning its season opener.
Without a doubt, there are a number of fans of other teams who are probably a little hot under the collar that their respective (and probably better) programs aren’t gaining the attention they probably deserve, but my schedule is loving the later game times, for now.
Missouri Tigers Football
Out of Missouri’s three prime showings so far, the Tigers started strong against South Carolina, and presented a strong offensive showing at Kentucky. The Tigers’ game against Auburn was, without a doubt, a calamity of errors on all fronts. So, for what it’s worth, two out of three ain’t bad.
This Saturday, Missouri visits Georgia. The Bulldogs, currently sitting on an undefeated (6-0) record, will welcome the Tigers to Athens with open arms, to say the least. Kickoff is scheduled for 7:30 PM, ET, and will be aired on SEC Network.
If Missouri can pull off the upset – an absolutely huge stretch, I know, then the Tigers might be able to do it, if not remain competitive, by following a similar game plan employed at Kentucky: Force Georgia to throw the ball. Mathematically, the Tigers aren’t out of bowl contention, yet.
Next Saturday is homecoming for Mizzou, and since the Tigers invented homecoming, then it stands to reason that fans will make Idaho feel welcome, despite being Vandals, and then getting the win on the field.
Next: Official error in Tigers' loss to Kentucky
The Tigers will play host to Idaho for a 12:00 PM, ET kickoff. The game will also be aired on SEC Network. I’ve never seen Idaho play a football game – or any game, for that matter – so I can’t say how I think Missouri should attack the Vandals. My gut says to make them respect the run, and then open up for an aerial attack.
