ESPN’s David Ubben gave one of his weekly Big 12 helmet sticker awards to James Franklin this week.
St. Louis TV station KSDK discussed Mizzou’s win on its segment called “The PIT”.
Ubben also weighed in on bowl games, predicting Mizzou to go to the Pinstripe Bowl. Additionally, he gave a look at Mizzou’s standing in the polls.
The university is looking at possibly spending $30 to $40 million on stadium upgrades.
KU football coach Turner Gill, whose job is potentially in jeopardy said “I’m here to coach and teach and develop our players and get ’em ready for Missouri. I’m not concerned about all those (other) things.”
The Kansas City Star’s J. Brady McCollough notes “The hate that kept this rivalry going through two World Wars and plenty of bad football is the very thing that will likely put an end to this unmatched period of border brawling.”
MU’s women’s basketball team won 67-46 in its first home game.
The Missourian’s Matt Beezley noticed “early struggles” in the victory.

Gene Frenette of the Florida Times-Union describes says Jaguars quarterback and former Tiger Blaine Gabbert came short of becoming “a conquering hero” for the Jaguars yesterday.
In his post-game grades, Frenette gave Jacksonville’s passing offense a C, noting the game-deciding throw was “well behind” receiver Mike Thomas. Highlights of the game are available on NFL.com.
