After beating Tennessee, badly, Missouri moved up one spot this week to number 9 in the AP Poll. This move is not surprising, as there was only one top ten team to lose this week, and that was Miami.
If Missouri wants to get back to the Top 5 of the polls, they really need the teams ahead of them to lose, particularly the undefeated teams in the top 5.
Missouri still controls its destiny in the SEC East, but likely needs three wins; at Kentucky, at Ole Miss, and home against Texas A&M. If Missouri, South Carolina, and Georgia all finish with two SEC losses, Missouri would then hold the tiebreaker to go to Atlanta for the SEC Championship.
Every game is important from here on out, and even though a win next week does look likely, you never know in college football. MIZ!
