Build it and wins will come?

You may have noticed something different around the baseball confines in Columbia. The Missouri Tigers baseball team got a make over—home edition.

As things continue to move in a positive direction for the program, the University’s athletic department made a big change to the Tigers’ baseball facilities, which officially opened last May, and have been added to in recent months, giving Missouri one of the grandest baseball facilities in all of college baseball.

This commitment to the team is the next step in the transition into the SEC, according to MUTigers.com

The school constructed a brand new $4-million new facility, which include a new locker room, coaches offices and restructured seating at Taylor stadium, which hadn’t received any structural updates since 1999.

Highlights of the renovation included a state-of-the-art locker room, an auditorium and training room, a new team room and other amenities were added on to Taylor stadium. In addition, the seating has been improved, and the school added more seats down the left field line. The old bucket seats were also replaced in favor of seat-back stadium seats.

Missouri has begun the season with a hot start and many are hopeful that this turnaround in 2015 is the start of many successful seasons to come. Perhaps the new digs can take some of the credit.
