Missouri Tigers Spring Football Kicks Off

There’s no such thing as the college football offseason… not even during the college football offseason.

While it seemed like just yesterday, the Missouri Tigers were hoisting the trophy at mid field of the Citrus Bowl, the team’s players, coaches and staff are quickly getting back to work in preparation of their two-time SEC East title defense.

Last week, Mizzou began spring football. And so, football season is underway.

This year, the Tigers have a new look. They bring new faces, like defensive coordinator Bary Odom, who replaces the departed Dave Steckel.

While other important components from the 2014-15 also missing– like in player personnel, this time of year is as important as ever. The Tigers must be meticulous in their preparations for the season ahead.

Gary Pinkel led his players onto the field and coached a 2 and a half hour session of practice on the sunny Faurot field beginning an 18 day practice that culminated in three scrimmages, including the black and gold spring football game on April 19.
