The Missouri Tigers will hold their 2017 “Black and Gold” game in two weeks, giving fans a chance to see what’s in store for the 2017 season.

Missouri football’s 2017 season is one of hope for fans, and one of continued growth for the Tigers. Following a dismal 2016 season, Missouri will look to rebound and reestablish its dominance in the SEC East.

For most of us, the span of time between the end of the season in November and the first game in August, feels like an eternity–the next ice age is upon us!

The Black and Gold game will momentarily satiate our appetite for the sights and sounds of football (and the Golden Girls, Marching Mizzou, and Truman the Tiger), just a little while longer.

While we will all be eager to get an idea of how the Tigers have improved over the offseason, they will also have a chance to see how the old will blend with the new.

The top three items on my wish list? Better decision-making by Drew Lock, the existence of a running game with Ish Witter (and a lack of Damerea Crockett’s “extracurricular” activities), and an improved receiving game from J’Mon Moore.

For anyone unable to make the game at Faurot, it will be televised on the SEC Network.

Game time is at 2 PM on Saturday April 15, and will be hosted by Clay Matvick, Cole Cubic, and Lauren Sisler.
