Blake Harris was the latest recruit to commit to the Missouri basketball program, and fans are ecstatic! While Mizzou builds its dream team, fans wonder if Kevin Knox and Jeremiah Tilmon will be next.

Harris, who was also committed to play basketball at the University of Washington was also released from his commitment, after head coach Lorenzo Romar was fired from his position.

After Michael Porter, Jr. was released from his commitment to Washington, he formally committed to play at Missouri, and that’s when he began recruiting former teammate  and commit, Blake Harris.

Harris, a four-star point guard from Word of God Christian Academy in Raleigh, NC, visited Columbia on Sunday with fellow blue-chipper Michael Porter, Jr.

Initially, Harris also had visits planned at Rutgers, Michigan State, and UConn later this month. But after his visit to Columbia, he made the announcement of his final decision on Twitter. “I am officially a Tiger,” Harris posted. Along with his announcement, he also included a picture of him in the black and gold Mizzou basketball uniform.

The six-foot, 170-pound point guard will add depth to the Tigers’ roster. Ranked the 98th overall prospect in the nation by Rivals, 247sports rated Harris at 85th overall, and 17th at point guard in this year’s recruiting class.

On a side note, according to Frank Cusumano of KDSK Sports, Jeremiah Tilmon will receive his release from Illinois on Monday, which will open up another opportunity for Missouri to bring in another playmaker.

Kevin Knox, II also paid a visit to Mizzou on Sunday. Knox still has visits planned with Kentucky, UNC, and Duke, so his decision may not come until later in April. However, all signs of Knox wearing black and gold in 2017 seem promising, as some Tar Heels faithful are having their doubts that Knox will even leave Columbia to finish his visits.

Continuing with his hard recruiting pitch, Michael Porter, Jr. also offered Missouri fans a glimpse into what could be Mizzou’s future in a very short six months.

For now, one more recruit can be ticked-off of Missouri’s wish list. Still waiting in the wings are decisions from Knox, Jeremiah Tilmon, and an outside chance of fan-favorite, Mark Smith.

Unfortunately, there may be more prospects than there are scholarships to go around. The past has shown us that stranger things can happen, though.
