Virginia
I like the possibility of Virginia joining the SEC. Do I think it would happen? I’d give it a 10% chance. There isn’t a lot that ties the Cavaliers to the ACC, although the rivalry shared with Virginia Tech would present another loss for fans of those guaranteed annual games.

If some other pieces in the ACC were to defunct for the SEC though, then I could definitely see the Wahoos turning conference. Also, Virginia is a classic southeastern school, so they’d fit right in to my perspective of “SEC.”

Agreeing with GG, that adding the viewership of the Baltimore, DC, and Richmond metropolitan areas would be tremendous for the SEC. In addition to that, UVA’s athletic programs are competitive, and would benefit from recruits wanting to play in the SEC, and for the prestige of the University of Virginia.
