Kassius Robertson, the former guard at Canisius College, announced Wednesday evening his intention to play basketball in 2017 for Missouri, on a graduate transfer.

Missouri basketball received more great news on the recruiting front, in the form of a tweet from ex-Canisius guard, Kassius Robertson, who committed to play for the Tigers in 2017.

On Tuesday night, ESPN’s Jeff Goodman prematurely tweeted that Robertson had committed to transfer to Missouri. Unfortunately, we were a little over-ambitious after seeing Goodman’s tweet, and followed-up with our own, which was quickly retracted.

Robertson quickly set the record straight, and made his announcement tonight.

This evening, at 8:00 PM, CT, Robertson made an official declaration, that he will suit-up for Mizzou in the fall.

Robertson, who averaged 16.1 points per game in 2016 for Canisius, will add depth to a position that Missouri is gaining talent at.

While he hasn’t played Division I ball, Robertson is quite talented, and has as smooth a release as you can possibly imagine. Most important, is his ability to make three pointers, which the Tigers have struggled with the last few seasons.

Robertson is rated at 40.3% from beyond the arch, and will add another great weapon to Missouri basketball’s growing arsenal.
