Missouri Football: 10 games the Tigers should schedule
By Josh McSwain
4. Northwest Missouri State
The current Division II champions simply won’t roll over for the Tigers. Under Adam Dorrel, who recently took the head coaching job at D-I Abilene Christian, the Bearcats have won three national titles in the last four years.
Now, defensive coordinator Rich Wright takes over as the head coach, and things don’t figure to be any different in Maryville.
This could be an interesting matchup for both teams; the Bearcats would see how they stack-up against a D-I opponent, and the Tigers will answer if they can handle business in a game they should win.
For those who dismiss this as an easy win for the Tigers, all I can say is any given Saturday. Against a team with as much pride as the Bearcats, it won’t be as easy as it looks. Ask Michigan before they let Appalachian State into the Big House.
This game would also create a lot of intrigue within the state, as well to see the flagship school take on the division two powerhouse.
