Now I know some might think it’s to early to put Drew Lock on this list, but I would argue otherwise. Lock’s improvement last season from his freshmen year was huge and a showcase of what all the hype around him was about when he first committed to Mizzou.

His accuracy improved from 49% his freshman year to 54.9% and he went from throwing only 4 touchdowns and 8 interceptions to 23 touchdowns and 10 interceptions.

Lock’s ability to connect on long bombs down the field is impressive and is becoming more comfortable as the leader of this offense. He has the potential to be one of the best quarterbacks Mizzou has ever seen.

With an improved receiving corps this year and a strong backfield of running backs, the 2017 season could be the year where Drew Lock finally shines as one of the best quarterbacks in the SEC.
