2010 vs. Oklahoma
The 11th ranked Tigers defeated the top-ranked Sooners, 36-27, to reach 7-0 for the first time since 1960; afterwards, the celebration was absolute pandemonium. A goalpost was taken down and walked halfway across town, among other things.
From the beginning, we knew it would be a special night for the Tigers, as Gahn McGaffie took the opening kickoff 86 yards for a touchdown. The Sooners answered as Landry Jones hit Kenny Stills for a 27 yard touchdown to even it up at 7 at the end of the first quarter.
De’vion Moore would put Mizzou ahead with a one-yard touchdown run, which Oklahoma answered with a touchdown pass to DeMarco Murray to tie it up before Grant Ressel got a field goal before half to put Mizzou up three at half.
Ressel added another field goal in the third, and then Oklahoma took the lead as Jones hit James Hanna for a score. But the lead was short-lived, as Blaine Gabbert hit Jerrell Jackson for a 38-yard touchdown.
After a failed two point conversion, Ressel added another field goal. Then, Franklin rushed for a three-yard touchdown to seal the deal.
