Missouri Football: Tigers land commitment from Texas receiver
The Fourth of July was good to Missouri football, as it received another commitment from Texas to add to its 2018 class of wide receivers.
On Tuesday afternoon, 3 star wide receiver Danny Gray announced, via Twitter, his intent to play football for Mizzou in 2018. This will make the fifth commit of its 2018 class that Missouri has received.
Before Gray, Missouri had received commitments from two wide receivers: Harry Ballard, III (St. Louis, MO – Jones County Junior College), and Jalen Knox (Arlington, TX).
After this season, Mizzou will seek its replacement for J’Mon Moore and will continue adding depth to the position. The fact that the Tigers have already landed a pair of 3 star receivers provides the Tigers a good start.

According to Dave Mater of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch, Gray had also received offers from Kansas, Bowling Green, Florida Atlantic, North Texas and Tulane.
Gray is rated as the No. 60 receiver in the country, according to 247sports, which makes him a solid addition for the Tigers. His highlight reel is also pretty exciting to watch.
Missouri has traveled a rough road this year, when it comes to recruiting, so it’s nice to see the Tigers having some success for their efforts.
With any luck, Gray’s addition to Knox and Ballard, will transition to the type of depth the Tigers need to give the receiving game a boost to complement the running game.
