In 2016, the Missouri Tigers finished with an imperfect 4-8 record. But in 2017, Mizzou has the chance to go undefeated, if this logic holds true.

Every fan dreams of the undefeated season, and it happens almost every year; unless, of course, you’re a fan of the Missouri Tigers. Mizzou, which joined the ranks of the SEC in 2012, has won two division titles, but has failed to make the National Championship game.

I had published a series back in the early summer, citing way-too-early football predictions, and even now, I believe Mizzou will finish better than that series predicted them to finish.

You may take this publication as the written word of Missouri football prediction analyses, or take it for what it is: A writer’s fiction-based opinion to give his readership a friendly chuckle, at least.

While I would love to see the Tigers finish the season undefeated, the odds are very much against Mizzou. But hey, it could happen – people win the Power Ball; am I right?

So, here’s the idea of how this is done: When I used to participate in pools to pick winning NFL games – which I

was

am terrible at – my season would get to a point where I would simply look at each game for what it was.

The good news here, is nobody has to perform deep research to dig up statistics, or find an overall record between each team.

We also don’t have to compare offenses and defenses. Heck, whether any team’s kicker plays better on grass than turf than artificial turf doesn’t even matter. Face value is the only factor.
