Duds vs Texas A&M

Dud #1: Mitchell Smith

Not only did Mitchell Smith shoot 0-for-6 from the field, but he missed a clutch free throw that hurt Mizzou in a couple of ways.

The missed free throw ended Missouri’s record-breaking streak, but more importantly, it kept Missouri trailing by one point with under a minute left.

Smith hasn’t been able to find his shot in the past few games, and it is hurting Mizzou. He can’t start and play 25+ minutes and not make a single shot. His offense needs to be better.

Dud #2: Javon Pickett

Pickett made his return to the starting lineup to score five points on 1-of-5 shooting. Pickett was hesitant all night and preferred a pump-fake into a poor dribble drive instead of taking an open three.

His hesitation continues to hurt Missouri and prolong their rough offensive sets.

Pickett was at his best when he played without hesitating and let the game come to him. He hasn’t done much of that in SEC play.

Dud #3: Kobe Brown

For lack of a better choice, Kobe Brown gets the third dud spot for being active but playing zero minutes. He was supposedly “under-the-weather” and did not play.

Brown has been one of the few players that has come alive in conference play for Mizzou. Whatever caused him to miss the game really cost Missouri. They missed his presence inside against a big Aggies team.
