Mizzou basketball projected starting five for the 2020-2021 Season

This is the most important year in the Cuonzo Martin era at Mizzou. Martin got off to a great start in his first year by leading Mizzou to the dance, but the growth of the program has been stagnant the past two years.

Last year’s squad was young and not as experienced as teams in the past were. However, Mizzou only lost their backup center, Reed Nikko, and is projected to keep every other essential piece on the roster.

Let us take a quick look at the roster going into the 2020-21 season:

Freshman (1): Jordan Wilmore
Sophomores (2): Kobe Brown, Parker Braun
Juniors (6): Xavier Pinson, Javon Pickett, Torrence Watson, Ed Chang, Evan Yerkes, Brooks Ford
Seniors(6): Dru Smith, Jeremiah Tilmon, Mark Smith, Axel Okongo, Mitchell Smith, Drew Buggs

The Mizzou roster is stacked with experience and is blessed to have its best players to be its oldest. There are a lot of potential starting lineups for the upcoming season but here are my predicted five:
