Tyler Macon made some noise at the Elite 11 camp, which thrust him into the elite rankings of the 2021 recruiting class

Drinkwitz landed an absolute stud early on this year in March. Tyler Macon, the dual-threat quarterback from East St. Louis, chose the Tigers and has been a key asset for Drinkwitz in recruiting other players to Mizzou. Macon is constantly showing support and adoration for his future Tiger teammates on his social media platforms.

The recruitment of other potential players for the 2021 class will be a whole lot easier with Macon earning the 4th star from 247Sports yesterday. The jump from a three-star to a four-star for Macon came largely because of his stellar play at the Elite 11 Camp.

Currently, 247Sports has Macon ranked as the 13th best dual-threat quarterback and the 9th overall best player from the state of Illinois. If Macon has another monster year, there is a strong possibility that his rankings will continue to jump up.

Macon had a stellar season last year for local powerhouse East St. Louis High School. Macon led the Flyers to a 14-0 record and the Class 6A state championship for the state of Illinois. The team’s success was in large part because of Macon who threw for 5,340 yards in just 14 games.
