Missouri football has never played these Conference USA schools

Another victim of recent conference realignment, Conference USA looks a lot different today than five or ten seasons ago. For our purposes, there are six current teams in the league that have never faced Missouri in football, but it’s easy to understand for a few of them.

Jacksonville State and Sam Houston State are very recent additions to FBS football, and Liberty hasn’t been at this level for too much longer. It’s possible that Missouri sees one of them in a bowl someday soon, but they aren’t exactly regional rivals for an SEC team.

That’s just half the CUSA teams that Missouri hasn’t beaten, we also have to consider Florida International and Western Kentucky. These are two more teams that have only been at the FBS level for a limited time and just haven’t run across the Tigers to this point.

The sixth and final program is UTEP, which largely hasn’t been a successful football program. Though they’ve been at the FBS level for their entire history, UTEP has the longest active streak without winning a bowl game at more than 55 years and have not matched up with Missouri at any other point.
