Last week against Tennessee, Cody Schrader ran wild. Schrader went for 205 yards and a touchdown on the ground and added 116 yards on five catches. It was a historic performance that elevated Missouri to No. 9 in the College Football Playoff rankings with a 36-7 win over the Volunteers.
Schrader is listed as probable for Week 12 against Florida with an undisclosed injury. Schrader has yet to miss a game this season and is up to 1,124 yards and 11 touchdowns on the ground with 191 yards receiving.
Earlier this season he was listed as questionable ahead of the Week 7 matchup against Kentucky with a quad injury. It’s possible that the quad is bothering him again, but it’s not clear what landed him on the injury report this week.
Against Kentucky, Schrader was healthy enough to run for 71 yards and a touchdown. It wasn’t his most efficient performance, but Missouri won the game 38-21.
Schrader isn’t the only Tiger who is on the injury report. Luther Burden III and Brady Cook are also listed as probable with undisclosed injuries. It’s likely that Missouri’s three best offensive players will all play this weekend.
Missouri is out of the CFP conversation, but if Eli Drinkwitz’s team wins out and finishes the regular season at 10-2, then they’ll absolutely be in the mix for a New Year’s Six Bowl. The Tigers probably need Schrader to be healthy to pull it off.
Kentucky is 6-4 after a 49-21 loss to Alabama in Week 11.
Cody Schrader injury status:
Schrader is listed as PROBABLE for Week 12 against Kentucky with an undisclosed injury.
