With the transfer portal quickly approaching, Missouri will once again be active players this cycle. Due to graduations, NFL declariations, and even their own transfers, they'll have plenty of needs to fill. Here are three players in the portal that Mizzou absolutely needs to consider.
CB Javan Robinson
Both starters this year, Drey Norwood and Toriano Pride Jr., are out of eligibility, and the cupboard isn't exactly overflowing with options behind them. Head coach Eli Drinktiwz already admitted cornerback will be a top priority in the portal, and Arizona State transfer Javan Robinsin checks all the boxes. The 5-foot-11, 180-pound corner started the last two seasons for ASU, totaling 85 tackles, 3 interceptions, and 12 pass-breakups.
OT Ben Murawski
The Tigers could lose both Keagen Trost and Cayden Green to the NFL Draft, leaving Missouri with some serious holes up front. Enter UConn transfer Ben Murawski, who at 6-foot-7 and 335-pounds would be an absolute beast on the outside. He was the No. 22 rated tackle according to PFF this season.
Edge Lamont Lester Jr.
Similar to the offensive line, Mizzou could lose both Zion Young and Damon Wilson II to the NFL Draft. Lamont Lester Jr. out of Monmouth is coming off a monster year where he racked up 9.5 sacks and 11.5 tackles for loss, earning him FCS All-American honors and the CAA Defensive Rookie of the Year award. The 6-foot-2, 230-pound edge rusher still has three-years of eligibility left as well, making him an intriguing multi-year option.
