Missouri has been busy so far on National Signing Day, including locking in three-star quarterback Gavin Sidwar. But long before Sidwar ever put his pen to paper, former NFL quarterback and ESPN's Dan Orlovsky saw something special in him.

When Sidwar was 10 years old, his father sent his tape to Orlovksy asking for advice on how to coach up his son. Orlovsky had the perfect response, and it's obvious now that he was right all along.

Orlovsky said, "Just let him be--he's super talented."

Mizzou inks quarterback Gavin Sidwar to 2026 class

Orlovsky was right on the money when it came to evaluating a 10-year old Sidwar, who now becomes one of the headliners of Mizzou's 2026 class. He's a solid pocket passer who will benefit from a D1 strength and conditioning program as he develops.

While Orlovsky found him first, the Tigers have long been in contact with Sidwar, who committed in April. The coaches made sure to reach out weekly to the young signal caller, and Sidwar admitted it made a huge difference.

"They evaluate my games on Wednesdays so I always hear from them then", said Sidwar to Missouri Tigers on SI. "I talk with Maurey Bland, coach [Sean] Gleeson, coach [Kirby] Moore and they'll put me on with Drinkwitz. I have a great realtionship with those guys."

The 6-foot-3, 190-pound commit is the 30th ranked ranked quarterback in the class, and has now officially joined Mizzou's 2026 class which currently ranks 34th in the nation.
