Since heading over to coach the Tigers's sidelines, following the 2019-20 season for Appalachian State, head coach Eliah Drinkwitz has made it clear how much he values recrutiment.

Each year, he's compiled strong classes of incoming freshman, as well as bringing in numerous transfers from around the country.

So far this season, it's been no different. Most recently, the team has brought in two four-stars - in one weekend.

First, running back TJ Hodges, chose the Tigers over Arkansas, Oklahoma State, and more.

He visited Columbia this summer, and now is ready to commit to the team.

Hodges is the No. 18 running back in the Class of 2026, and the No. 328 player in the country. He also had offers from a number of SEC Conference schools, such as Auburn and Vanderbilt, as well as other programs like Florida State and Minnesota.

He followed his visit to Columbia with one to Arkansas, and it's been quiet since. However, he officially decided following this weekend that Mizzou is the place for him, and his pledge is just another talented name on the long potential roster of players for Drinkwitz in 2026.

Along with Hodges came another four-star by the name of JJ Bush, who became the thirteenth commit for Drinkwitz in 2026.

Following the firing of Arkansas's longtime head coach Sam Pittman last week, a number of their recruits have already de-committed, with more expected to in the weeks following.

One of those was linebacker JJ Bush.

The six-foot-three, 215lb beast posted "WHY NOT ZOU" on social media after he decided to come to Columbia.

Bush is ranked No. 271 in the country, and the No. 17 linebacker. He had offers from LSU, Mississippi State, and Cincinatti.

He had a number of visits following his junior season, which saw him play not only linebacker, but running back as well, showcasing his athletic ability. He's expected to be featured soley on the defensive side of the ball in college, though the options are there.

That hasn't been all the recruitment news though, however.

Drinkwitz also found a way to bring in Micah Nickerson, a four-star edge who flipped his recruitment from Mississippi State over to Mizzou, late last month.

The team has also been rumored to flip four-star defensive tackle Tahj Overton, who's currently pledged to Oklahoma State.

The recruitment all over Mizzou is very impressive right now, and it'll look to continue to be that way, as Drinkwitz adds to an already stacked Class of 2026.

This team is built to win now, but also has a number of pieces that could help them to create a dynasty in Columbia, for years to come.
