Mock NFL Draft season is in full swing, and there are several Tigers who could hear their names called in 2026. Players like Cayden Green, Zion Young or Keagen Trost are all potential candidates to go in the early rounds, but ESPN tabbed one Mizzou player at No. 28 overall in their latest mock draft.

In Field Yates' mock draft, he sent Missouri edge Damon Wilson II to the Dallas Cowboys at pick No. 28. Wilson, who hasn't officially declared for the draft yet, is coming off his best season yet, and makes a lot of sense for the Cowboys in their attempt to replace Micah Parsons.

Here's what Yates had to say about the pick.

The defensive investment would continue for the Cowboys here via Wilson, who broke out in 2025 after transferring from Georgia. His 9.0 sacks with the Tigers nearly tripled his 3.5 sacks over the first two seasons of his collegiate career. Wilson has very good length, first-step quickness and torque to bend the edge. He also brought it in big games this season, with four sacks against teams ranked in the top 10. After shoring up their interior defensive line by trading for Quinnen Williams, Wilson could be a game changer on the edge for the Cowboys.

Both Mizzou edge players could potentially go in round one of the NFL Draft

Wilson's 49 pressures this season were second in the SEC, and adding him to a Cowboys front with Quinnen Williams would immediately give them a ferocious pass rush. Wilson will be just 21 years old in April's draft, making him one of the younger first-round prospects.

While Wilson was named here by ESPN as a top pick, don't forget about Zion Young, who had 6.5 sacks of his own. At 6-foot-5 and 262-pounds, Young was built in a lab, and has the ideal size and strength for the NFL.
