While the Missouri passing game wasn't exactly electrifying in 2025, the Tigers still had some elite talent on the outside. Transfer Kevin Coleman Jr. played just one season in Columbia but displayed NFL-caliber talent as the Tigers top receiving option. As the Senior Bowl approaches, ESPN listed Coleman as one of their Day 3 sleepers who will have a big showing.
Coleman emerged as the Tigers' No. 1 wide receiver and a fifth-round prospect this season, catching 66 passes for 732 yards and 1 touchdown. His yards-after-catch ability at 5-foot-11, 180 pounds is notable. He's electric in space and has elite acceleration skills. Coleman also returned a punt for a touchdown this season, further highlighting his elusiveness. It seems as though an undersized receiver turns heads every year in Mobile, and Coleman's route-running skills and pure speed should stand out. -Matt Miller
Kevin Coleman Jr. could jump up draft boards with a good Senior Bowl showing
The Tigers figure to have multiple NFL Draft selections this year including Zion Young, Josiah Trotter and of course Coleman. While Trotter and Young will likely hear their names called on day two, Coleman has a good chance to improve his stock in Mobile this week. Practice starts on Tuesday and will run through Thursday with the game on Saturday.
Coleman is a smaller, shifty receiver who should be able to dominate some 1-on-1's at the Senior Bowl and showcase his ability to be a top slot guy. His special teams abilities will also boost his value to teams, but whether or not he can do enough to jump up to a third or fourth round pick will depend on him showcasing his playmaking ability despite his size.
Joining Coleman at the Senior Bowl are former Tigers edge Zion Young and defensive tackle Chris McClellan.
