While several players had already announced their intentions to enter the transfer portal before Missouri's bowl game, two more have now declared their intentions to do so ahead of the Jan. 2 portal start.

Both kicker Robert Meyer and offensive tackle Johnny Williams are entering the portal. Meyer announced the move on his social media while Matt Zenitz confirmed Williams' move.

Mizzou loses two more contributors to the portal

Meyer, who made 10 of his 14 attempts on the season, was thrust into the starting job after an injury to Blake Craig. After struggling for weeks, including multiple misses inside 35 yards, head coach Eli Drinkwitz then made the switch to walk-on kicker Oliver Robbins. Meyer was ranked as the No. 13 kicker in the 2025 class by Chris Sailer Kicking.

Meanwhile, Williams, will enter the portal after playing just 52 snaps for the Tigers. Williams was a transfer from West Virginia, but couldn't crack the starting rotation behind stars Cayden Green and Keagan Trost. He was a three-star recruit, and the No. 25 tackle in the 2023 class. The 6-foot-7, 320-pound tackle has two years of eligibility remaining.

The pair of departures were ideally going to take on bigger roles in 2026. With the loss of Trost, and likely Green pending his NFL decision, Williams would have had an inside track to a starting role this upcoming season. Meyer, who did struggle in 2025, could've had a chance to redeem himself in 2026, but now both players will find new homes elsewhere.
