Former Missouri edge rusher Zion Young had already been turning heads in one-on-ones at the Senior Bowl, but during the game he put those highlights into action.

Young had been seen absolutely dominating practices, and he kept things rolling when it came to game time.

After notching two tackles and a fumble recovery, Young was named the American team's Player of the Game.

During the game, Young recovered a loose fumble and returned it for eight yards, setting up another score for the American team that extended their lead to 14. He added a pair of tackles and ultimately took home top honors in the win over the National squad. After the final whistle, Young caught up with NFL Network's Tom Pelissero to talk about his award winning performance.

"I wanted to have fun with the guys," said Young. "I never want to forget this moment. I credit these coaches and these players. My dad always told me 'Take pride in your work', and that's what I came out here to do."

Young entered the Senior Bowl as a project Day 2 draft pick, but after his performances all week, he's started to creep into first round territory. While he still has the NFL Combine and a pro day, there's still a lot of momentum Young will carry into April's draft after securing top honors in Mobile. Young finished this past season with the Tigers with 6.5 sacks, and has been one of the most impressive prospects ahead of the NFL Draft.

Along with Young, wide receiver Kevin Coleman Jr. and defensive tackle Chris McClellan were also down at the Senior Bowl looking to showcase their skills. Coleman Jr. hauled in one pass for three yards and McClellan notched one tackle.
