The Eagles will look to develop a prospect with limitless potential, who, unfortunately, never fully panned out for the Tigers.
In 2024-25, Shaw averaged just 9.1 minutes, 2.6 points, and 1.8 rebounds per game—career lows during his tenure at Mizzou.
Shaw was one of the first major recruits Dennis Gates landed, coming in as a 4-star recruit from Blue Valley High in Overland Park, Kansas.
Boston College is coming off a season where it finished 17th in the ACC, posting a 4-16 conference record and a 12-17 overall record.
Shaw is likely to see more opportunities at BC after playing under 10 minutes per game during his junior campaign at Mizzou. It will be interesting to see how much he’s able to contribute with increased playing time on the court.
Athleticism has never been Shaw's issue, as he possesses freakish natural ability. However, putting his game together as a whole has been difficult for the 6-foot-9 forward.
In Earl Grant's first four seasons as head coach of the Eagles, Boston College has managed just one winning season. Grant will surely rely on Shaw to make a difference as he looks to improve the program moving forward.
