Good things come in three as Eli Drinkwitz puts a cherry on top of his transfer class

For the third time this offseason, Missouri has nabbed a former Ole Miss rebel in the transfer portal. The Tigers had already secured commitments from cornerback Chris Graves Jr. and of course quarterback Austin Simmons. Now it looks like they've made it a trio.

According to Hayes Fawcett, Mizzou has landed wide receiver Cayden Lee from the Rebels. Lee has 106 catches, 1,623 yards and seven touchdowns in his three season with Ole Miss. He was a top-30 receiver in the transfer portal, and now immediately becomes one of the Tigers' top additions for 2026.

Mizzou adds a premier receiver who already is very familiar with the Tigers' new QB

Ahead of Saturday, Mizzou had a solid transfer class. They addressed quarterback, the secondary and linebacker, but had failed to reel in a top pass-rusher. With most of the elite options off the board, it felt like Mizzou still needed something to make this class truly great. Enter Lee, who was a multi-year starter for Ole Miss, and will reunite with his best friend and former quarterback Austin Simmons.

After losing nearly every major contributor to the receiver room, Mizzou has worked to completely rebuild it. They already brought in four transfers at receiver, but Lee will come in and be an immediate starter for the Tigers. He's talented no doubt, but he also already has a connection with Simmons, who also happens to be one of Lee's best friends.

Missouri now has the No. 19 ranked class according to 247 Sports after the additions of Lee and Miami linebacker Bobby Washington Jr. The Tigers will likely feature at least seven new starters on each side of the ball. So while the 2026 squad will look much different, there's plenty of reasons to feel optimistic--especially after the most recent additions.
