Missouri is fresh off a nerve-wracking win over No. 19 Vanderbilt, and will now be rewarded with a trip to face the No. 20 Razorbacks. The Tigers are now 18-8 overall, and are just a few wins away from cementing their spot in the NCAA Tournament field. Their test on Saturday won't prove easy, though, as Arkansas boasts one of the best players and coaches in the conference.
Here's how to check out all the action.
How to watch Missouri vs. Arkansas
Who:Â Missouri Tigers vs. Arkansas Razorbacks
When:Â Saturday, Feb. 21, 3 p.m. central
Where:Â Bud Walton Arena in Fayetteville, Arkansas
TV:Â ESPN
Arkansas opens as huge 10.5 point favorites over the Tigers, and Missouri will have their hands full trying to contain potential SEC Player of the Year in freshman Darius Acuff Jr. He's averaging 22.3 points per game in 50 percent shooting, and just rattled off 49 points in the double-overtime loss to Alabama on Wednesday.
Meanwhile, the Tigers have to be feeling pretty strange after this week's win over Vandy. While it was a crucial victory over a ranked opponent, Mizzou was inches away from blowing a 21-point lead and losing on a halfcourt buzzer-beater. With five games remaining, Mizzou is looking to win at least two more to earn a spot in the NCAA Tournament.
"We did not break, and that's the most important part," coach Dennis Gates said after the win over Vandy. "For Selection Sunday (next month), our job is to get these types of wins. For us to be able to get this on our resume is very important."
Arkansas has one three of the last four matchups against Missouri, and leads the all-time series 28-36. The Tigers will need a special performance to steal a win in Fayetteville, and to keep their postseason dreams in full view.
