Another week, another home game for head coach Eliah Drinkwitz and the Missouri Tigers. At least this one will again be under the lights, a rarity for a homecoming game but something the fans and team alike are sure to appreciate.
Kickoff is set for 6:30 p.m. central, with tailgaters expecting to be present around Columbia all day (and weekend) long.
The sun looks to set slightly before the contests, leaving 70-degree weather and clear skies for the Ahmad Hardy and co. to dominate in.
This is the second ever matchup of the Mizzou and the Minutemen, with the first one coming just last October, where the Tigers played a full, 60-minute game, winning 45-3. Now NFL-quarterback Brady Cook tossed two touchdowns in that game, and Marcus Carroll Jr. led the ground game, securing another three.
The Tigers enter the matchup 4-0 overall and 1-0 in the SEC Conference, tied for third. They've most recently beaten South Carolina, last Saturday night.
Meanwhile, UMass is 0-3 on the young season. Temple, Bryant, and Iowa have all gotten the best of them so far this year, and they're coming off a bye-week.
The Minutemen have won eight games just one time in their FBS program history, which dates back to the 1890's. It's a team that is looking to turn a new leaf, and they believe head coach Joe Harasymiak is the man for the job, bringing him in ahead of this season.
Vegas favors the Tigers again this season, with the line currently sitting at -43.5 Missouri, and the Over/Under at 55.5, days prior to the game, according to ESPN BET.
The game will be featured on ESPNU, WatchESPN, or the ESPN App, with streaming options available on FuboTV.
To listen, the Tiger Radio Network, as always hosted by Mike Kelly, Howard Richards, and Chris Gervino is the spot to go.
Local radio stations: 1580 AM/105.1 FM, and 96.7 FM, as well as SiriusXM on 161 or 191 will have it as well.
It'll be a good clash, but hopefully, the second-stringers are in the game early on. As long as Drinkwitz and his crew come out focused and ready to go, the Tigers should be able to escape 5-0.
