Saturday night provided a much-needed road win for head coach Eliah Drinkwitz and the Missouri Tigers. They were able to silence a lot of doubters with an exciting, double overtime victory, on the road versus Auburn.

Despite the win, the road for the playoffs is still shrinking, and one loss could easily eliminate Mizzou from having a realistic chance.

Unfortunately for them, they're heading into Nashville to play the hottest team in the country. And, oh yeah, College Game Day will be watching live.

Vanderbilt is 6-1 on the year, and 2-1 in the conference - identical to Mizzou's start. They find themselves ranked No. 10 in the country following a win versus then-No. 10 ranked LSU last weekend.

The top-ten ranking ties the highest the Commodores have seen in their program's history, with the only other ever top-ten apperance being the 1947-48 campaign.

A lot rides on this one, with the loser most likely not making it into December's College Football Playoff.

Kickoff is set for 2:30 pm cst on Saturday, with 70s expected for the duration of the contests, along with grey clouds.

The contest, at FirstBank Stadium, will be televised on ESPN hosted Bob Wischusen, Louis Riddick, and Kris Budden. Fans can also find it on WatchESPN and the ESPN app, and streaming on FuboTV.

It'll also make it's way to local radio stations, such as the Tiger Radio Network with Mike Kelly, Howard Richards, and Chris Gervino.

The clash will also be featured on 1580 AM/105.1 FM and 96.7 FM, and SiriusXM channels 121/202 and 113/192, as well as the Varsity Network App.

The teams have faced off 17 times before, and Mizzou leads all-time, with a 12-4-1 record, also taking down the Commodores in their last matchup, a 30-27 OT thriller last September. The Tigers come into the game having won five straight in the series.

Vanderbilt is no-doubt favored in this one, being painted to win this heavily by the media. In addition to that, betting services also favor the Commodores.

Vandy is -2.5 favorites as of Wednesday afternoon, with an O/U of 52.5 The Money Line is Missouri +120, Vanderbilt -140.

The Commodores by 1.3 points have a 55% chance to win the game outright.

With just days until the contest, both teams are expected to be at full strenght, as they prepare for what should look like a classic SEC Conference matchup, with heavy playoff implications for both sides.
