It's clear that the Tigers are just about as dominant as they can be at home, protecting Faurot Field better than nearly any other team in the country throughout the last few seasons. Their test truly begins now, as the latter half of the season provides them with a plethora of away games.
With the SEC Conference being as competitive as ever so far this season, any win a team can secure in conference play is vital in order to make a run in the postseason.
Auburn, though not easy competition, is a great opportunity for the Tigers to gain momentum, before playing some serious contenders in the conference, later in the year.
Mizzou is currently 5-1, and 1-1 in the conference. They're coming off an upsetting 27-24 loss, at home, versus No. 6 Alabama. Head coach Eliah Drinkwitz has his Tigers tied four fourth overall in the conference.
Meanwhile, Auburn has struggled coming out of the gate this year. They're currently 3-3, with all of their losses coming in the conference, and on a three game losing streak, putting them at the bottom of the conference.
It's important to note how competitive this team is, with all of their SEC losses coming by ten or less points, and all to top-ten ranked programs. They clearly come to play in every game.
Auburn most recently lost to No. 9 Georgia, in a contest they led by double-digits for the majority of it.
The game will kick off Saturday night at 6:45 p.m. CST from Jordan-Hare Stadium in Auburn.
As of now, the weather looks nice, with no clouds in the sky, and a potential cool finish, as the night will provide chillier weather after sunset.
Per FanDuel, the spread favors Mizzou, after a recent change, at -1.5, with the Money Line sitting at Auburn +105, and Mizzou -126.
Offenses are expected to come to play, with the total score sitting at over/under 43.5 points.
The Missouri Tigers don't have an exestensive injury report, and expect all of their guys to be good to go. However the Auburn Tigers will see sophomore transfer Durell Robinson out, as well as senior receiver Horatio Fields too.
These teams have only faced off five times, with Auburn splitting the difference 3-2. Of those five, one was the 1973 Sun Bowl, and another the 2013 SEC Championship, meaning there hasn't been a ton of regular-season matchups.
Mizzou cut into their 3-2 lead last October, with an exciting 21-17 home victory.
Mizzou fans can listen live on the Tiger Radio Network, featuring Mike Kelly, Howard Richards, and Chris Gervino.
It'll also be on local stations 1580 AM/105.1 FM, and 96.7 FM, in addition to SiriusXM channels 94, 99, 190, and 204.
The game will be on the SEC Network, and can be streamed through FuboTV, and the Varsity Network App.
A long road trip looms for Drinkwitz and the Tigers, and this is a perfect way to start off on the right foot.
