The NCAA Tournament selection committee revealed their current top-16 teams, and Missouri has played four of them this season to mixed results.
While there's still a few weeks left until Selection Sunday, the initial top four seeds feature four teams that the Tigers have faced. Mizzou went 2-2 in those games, beating Florida and Vanderbilt, and falling to Illinois and Kansas. The full seeding is below with the Michigan Wolverines as the top overall seed at the moment.

The Tigers have a mixed bag of results against the top teams in the country
The Tigers are even .500 against the teams they've played in the top-16. It's a fine record, and shows that on any given night they can play with anybody, but the two losses were also blowouts. The Tigers lost to Kansas by 20 and to Illinois by 43. So while, a 2-2 record isn't too shabby, the Vanderbilt game was about in inch away from being a loss, and the other actual defeats were by a significant margin.
So where does this leave the Tigers in their quest for a bid? The answer is that it probably doesn't change much. All four games were Quad 1, meaning the wins are still valued very highly, and the losses hurt due to their margin of defeat. Still, it's nice to see that the Tigers have some quality wins, and are now 7-8 overall against Quad 1 and 2 opponents.
The Tigers will take on No. 20 Arkansas later on Saturday, and a win would almost surely guarantee them a spot in the field. A loss isn't the end of the world either, but it will make their remaining four games a bit more stressful. Mizzou still has Tennessee, Mississippi State, Oklahoma, and a rematch with Arkansas to end their season.
