One of the hardest positions to reinforce in football is the offensive line, largely because 300-pound athletes don’t grow on trees. Those with the talent to compete at the Division I level are even rarer.

With the losses of Marcus Bryant and Cam'Ron Johnson, who will exhaust their eligibility after the bowl game, and Armand Membou declaring for the NFL Draft following his junior year, the Missouri Tigers will be without three of its five starting offensive linemen next season.

This created a significant gap on the Tigers' offensive line and prompted coach Eli Drinkwitz to address the position through the transfer portal. Friday proved pivotal, as Mizzou added two offensive linemen within a span of three hours.

The first lineman was Michigan transfer Dominick Giudice, who announced his commitment to Missouri on Friday afternoon.

Giudice committed to Michigan out of high school in 2021 and appeared in 14 games for the Wolverines. Initially recruited as a defensive lineman, the New Jersey native transitioned to offensive line early in his career, seeking more opportunities for playing time.

One of Giudice’s standout attributes is his versatility, as he can play nearly every position on the offensive line. This flexibility is likely a key reason Mizzou pursued him, given the Tigers' need for help across the board.

Just a couple of hours later, Mizzou bolstered its offensive line further by announcing the commitment of Wake Forest transfer Keagen Trost.

Unlike Giudice, Trost is well-traveled, with Columbia marking his fourth collegiate stop. The 6-foot-4, 305-pound lineman wasn’t highly recruited out of high school in 2019, landing at Morgan State, where he spent just one year. He then transferred to Indiana State, where he played 22 games and made 12 starts over four years. Ahead of the 2024 season, Trost committed to Wake Forest, appearing in every game for the Demon Deacons.

In 2024, Trost played the majority of his snaps at tackle—a position Mizzou will need to reinforce after losing both starters from this past season.

The addition of Trost and Giudice will provide a significant boost to the Tigers' offensive line, with both players likely competing for playing time upon their arrival on campus. With one week remaining in the current transfer portal window, it will be interesting to see how Coach Eli Drinkwitz chooses to round out the early recruiting period.
