The Missouri Tigers were ranked No. 24 in the nation in the initial College Football Playoff rankings, released Tuesday night.

Mizzou is currently 6-2, but their two losses were particularly tough, with a combined score of 75-10 against Alabama and Texas A&M, who are ranked No. 11 and No. 14, respectively.

The Tigers are one of eight ranked teams from the SEC, but all four of Mizzou’s remaining games are against unranked opponents.

The CFP ranking is notable, as Mizzou was unranked in this week’s Associated Press poll. The Tigers dropped out of the AP top 25 after their bye last week.

Brady Cook’s health will be closely monitored throughout the week as he manages both upper- and lower-body injuries. If Cook is unable to play on Saturday against Oklahoma, Drew Pyne will start for the Tigers.

Mizzou is set to host Oklahoma at 6:45 p.m. Saturday at Faurot Field in Columbia.
