Another week's end, another monster win for head coach Eliah Drinkwitz and the Missouri Tigers. As the year's gone on, players on both sides of the ball have broken out, and been able to take over for this program.
With their most recent victory, a 42-6 downing of UMass on homecoming night, the Tigers improve to 5-0 overall, including 1-0 in the SEC Conference, which ties them for second, as well as up another spot to No. 19 overall on the official AP Top-25 ranking.

While fans were hoping to see a much more monumental jump in the rankings this week, it makes sense with the quality of wins the Tigers have accumulated so far this season. The squad hasn't played a road game, or a team ranked top-25 quite yet, though South Carolina likely should have been somewhere within there.
They'll get their chance in the coming weeks however, as they begin to face more SEC Conference competition. They're final seven contests will prove to be a true gauntlet, with four of them being ranked in the top-16, including Oklahoma (No. 5), and Texas A&M (No. 6), in November.
While a lot will happen between then and now, it's important the team begins to prepare for detrimental matchups like that now, especially in a week like this, where the team is coming off a big win, and heading into a bye-week.
Speaking of the SEC Conference, they again dominated the rankings this week, with ten appearing in the AP Top-25, and five rounding out the top ten.
Mizzou did get some more love in other polls, reaching No. 18 AFCA Coaches' Poll, and all the way up to No. 15 in the official CBS Poll.
To put it bluntly: the Tigers cannot afford to get cocky. It's true they have multiple Heisman contenders playing their minds out so far this season, but there is still several games to go.
If they can find a way to get through this gauntlet piecing together multiple impressive wins, theres no reason the number next to their logo won't be near the top, as the program will start thinking about where they'll play in the first round of the College Football Playoff this Decemeber.
