As good as Mizzou has been so far this year, it was nice to pick up a win this past weekend over a program that has high expectations. South Carolina was ranked No. 11 overall, and has one of the best quarterback talents in the nation in LaNorris Sellers.
Despite that, they weren't able to get it done, and the home Tigers were able to comfortably win the ballgame, coming back from being down during the latter half of the contest.

There's always something to learn from even when you win, and that was proven in this one. Mizzou got it done, but they struggled a lot, and even head coach Eliah Drinkwitz noted post-game that something had to be done to solve issues in the secondary, if they hope to make a playoff run this year.
But, even with the issues, good teams find a way to win, and the Tigers did that Saturday night. With that, they silenced a lot of disrepect that's been thrown in their direction, and continued to move their way up the AP Top-25, something they've been consistently doing all season long.
Though the No. 20 spot might seem a little low, there was minor shakeups within the entirety of the top-25, and, with Mizzou's schedule, they will have plenty of opportunities to move up further, later on this season.
Drinkwitz saw his squad climb slightly higher to the No. 19 spot on the official Coaches' Poll for this week.
Comparing conferences, the SEC once again has the most of any conference appearing on the top-25, with ten teams cracking the list this week, one less than the week prior.
The Tigers are the lowest out of all of the SEC Conference teams, with five making their way into this week's top ten. Mizzou will face three of them later on this season.
It's honestly unlikely that we'll see the Black & Gold jump significantly following their matchup next weekend (obviously assuming they win), which is their world famous homecoming matchup, this year a night kickoff versus UMass.
No matter the number, the message from Drinkwitz is clear: ignore it, and let your play do the talking. As long as the team stays true to that, that number will be pretty close to one come the end of the season.
