Missouri’s latest win didn’t just erase old heartbreak — it pushed the Tigers further into the national spotlight.

Following their 23–17 double-overtime victory at Auburn on Saturday night, Missouri moved up three spots to No. 15 in the Associated Press Top 25, marking the program’s highest ranking of the season.

It wasn’t the kind of win that dazzled statistically, but it was one that resonated.

Missouri (6–1, 2–1 SEC) battled through penalties, missed kicks and offensive inconsistency to earn its first road win of the year — and its first victory at Jordan-Hare Stadium.

Three years after a crushing overtime loss to Auburn, the Tigers flipped the script behind a ferocious defensive front that refused to break.

Quarterback Beau Pribula completed 23 of 40 passes for 252 yards and added a go-ahead touchdown run in double overtime. Running back Ahmad Hardy scored both of Missouri’s regulation touchdowns, grinding out 58 rushing yards on 24 carries.

Missouri’s offensive line struggled early, allowing consistent pressure, but the group steadied when it mattered. Pribula orchestrated a clutch fourth-quarter drive capped by Hardy’s 3-yard touchdown to tie the game at 17–17 with just over five minutes remaining

On Saturday, the Tigers nearly suffered the same fate it had in previous road visits to Auburn when freshman kicker Robert Meyer missed a 39-yard game-winning kick in the first OT period.

But Drinkwitz’s group never unraveled. In the second overtime, Pribula converted a third-and-long to Kevin Coleman Jr.and finished the drive himself with a 3-yard score. The defense handled the rest, closing the game with three consecutive tackles for loss.
