Mizzou has landed their next starting tackle through the portal

The Tigers won the offensive tackle lottery last season when they landed Keagen Trost in the portal. He went on to become an All-American for Mizzou, and will now head to the NFL where he'll undoubtedly hear his name called in this April's draft. Eli Drinkwitz and company have now found his replacement in the 6-foot-4, 315-pound Atkins.

Now, Missouri is looking to see lightning strike twice with the addition of Atkins. He was the No. 14 ranked tackle in the portal according to 247Sports, and will join the Tigers' offesive line in one way or another. While Atkins has primarily played left tackle throughout his career, he may need to make the switch over to right for Mizzou while Cayden Green mans the left side. Either way, he'll be a huge addition.

The Tigers now have 10 transfer commits and the No. 13 ranked class in the country. They've filled some major holes at quarterback, defensive back and now offensive line. One major area of concern remains, however, and it's defensive end after the shocking loss of Damon Wilson II.
