The Missouri offense isn’t just changing — it’s being rebuilt. The departures of offensive coordinator Kirby Moore, starting wide receiver Joshua Manning, Marquis Johnson and former starting quarterback Beau Pribula highlight the scale of the transition the Tigers are facing as the January transfer portal window opens.

Beau Pribula, in his lone season as the Tigers' starting quarterback, threw for 1,941 yards, 11 touchdowns, and nine interceptions while completing 67.4% of his passes in 10 total starts.

Pribula missed two games after suffering a dislocated ankle against Vanderbilt on Oct. 25, in the third quarter. Pribula returned just two weeks later for Mizzou's road matchup against Oklahoma and the Tigers were unable to find the end zone against the Sooners.

The starting job will be passed on to the true freshman Matt Zollers for the Tigers' Gator Bowl matchup against Virginia on Saturday, Dec. 27 as confirmed on Twitter by Missouri coach Eli Drinkwitz.

Quarterback was always a problem in 2025 for Mizzou

The Missouri quarterback position had injury issues throghout the season as, Pribula first competed with Sam Horn for the starting quarterback job during fall camp, but Horn suffered a season-ending leg injury on his opening play of Missouri’s Week 1 win over Central Arkansas.

Freshman Matt Zollers saw action when both Horn and Pribula were out with injury and will start the Gator Bowl, Mizzou head coach Eli Drinkwitz confirmed on Twitter.

Pribula, before arriving at Mizzou, spent two seasons at Penn State before leaving the program after Nittany Lions' starter Drew Allar announced his return for the 2025 season.
