Mizzou's availability report remains lengthy ahead of matchup with No. 15 Alabama
By Zach Sweet
With the SEC mandating student-athlete availability reports this year, it has been interesting to track them each week ahead of high-profile matchups.
Thursday's availability report mirrored much of Wednesday's, with both Brady Cook and Nate Noel still listed as doubtful for the game in Tuscaloosa.
However, one change that could hurt Mizzou is wide receiver Mookie Cooper being ruled out. The graduate student had started every game so far this season, and his absence adds another skill position player the Tigers will need to replace on Saturday.
Mizzou's defensive backs are also dealing with several injuries, with Sidney Williams, TreVez Johnson, Daylan Carnell, and Joseph Charleston all listed as questionable. It will be interesting to see if any of them are removed from the injury report ahead of Saturday's game.
Starting offensive tackle and Oklahoma transfer Cayden Green is also listed as questionable on the injury report. His presence will be crucial, as he has been a significant part of the offensive line this season.
Lastly, starting tight end Brett Norfleet is also listed as questionable. He has been dealing with a shoulder injury throughout the season, causing him to miss several games already. The Tigers are hopeful that Norfleet will be able to play.
Ultimately, no names are bigger than quarterback Brady Cook and running back Nate Noel. It will be crucial to monitor the injury report over the next 48 hours leading up to kickoff.
