The SEC officially released its team schedules and televison designations for the 2024-2025 season on Friday, including that of the Missouri Tigers.

Mizzou kicks off the season at Memphis on November 4th, a significant challenge for a team looking to bounce back from the struggles of the 2023-2024 season.

The Tigers will feature in five games on ESPN platforms this season, consistent with the coverage other SEC teams receive. Some of these matchups will air on ESPN, while others will be broadcast on alternate channels such as ESPN2 and ESPNU.

The first of Mizzou's nationally televised games on ESPN will be one of its biggest matchups: a showdown against rival Kansas. The Tigers will host the Jayhawks at 12 p.m. on December 8th in the “Hy-Vee Hoops Border Showdown,” a rivalry game broadcast for all to watch on national television.

Another one of the ESPN-streamed games that coach Dennis Gates likely has circled on his calendar is a night matchup at Florida. Scheduled for 8 p.m. on January 14th, this game could carry significant weight with March Madness implications on the horizon.

The Tigers’ first 13 games are non-conference matchups, providing unique opportunities against teams they rarely face. After that, they’ll play 18 consecutive games against SEC opponents, leading into the critical SEC Tournament.

The Tigers will open the season with 10 of their first 11 games at home, but their first conference home game won’t come until January 7th, when they host LSU at 8 p.m. on the SEC Network.

14 of Mizzou’s scheduled games will air on the SEC Network, with the remaining matchups available on SEC Network+.

Mizzou will face Illinois in the “McBride Homes Braggin’ Rights” game on December 22nd at noon, airing on ESPN.

With just three weeks remaining until the season opener, the Tigers have their work cut out for them. They aim to bounce back from last season’s disastrous 0-18 conference record and 8-24 overall finish.

Looking at this year’s schedule, Mizzou will have plenty of opportunities to turn things around and improve from last season.
