Missouri has been red hot over the past couple of weeks, landing a handful of four-star recruits. None of them compare to Michael Fasusi, the 6-foot-5, 300-pound tackle, who is viewed as a consensus top-10 recruit.
Gabe Brooks, a national scouting analyst for 247 sport, said "(Fasusi) is a gifted O-lineman with true book-end tackle potential. Possesses excellent physical tools and promising athletic context in track and field and combine testing categories."
Fasusi played his high-school football in Lewisville, Texas, and he's been a monster early in his career. On Friday, he announced his decision date is set for August 21st. The five-star will decide between Missouri, Oklahoma, Oregon, Texas A&M, and Texas.
This will obviously be a massive addition for any of these teams. Landing someone who will come in and play significant snaps early in his college career is always a rarity for lineman. Size is something you can't teach, and Fasusi definitely posses it.
Fasusi has made multiple visits to Missouri, his first being unofficial in January, and then cycling back for an official visit at the end of May. He has built a good rapport with Missouri's offensive line coach, Brandon Jones. In recent weeks, we've seen multiple offensive lineman in the '25 class commit because of Jones. If Fasusi commits to Missouri, Jones will definitely be a key factor in the decision.
According to multiple crystal balls, it appears Texas is the favorite to land the five-star recruit. But you can expect to see all five schools make a late push at the lineman. It will be exciting to watch Fasusi's commitment play out over the next couple of weeks.
