With football season just three weeks away, anticipation is building for the upcoming campaign. The potential for Mizzou football hasn't been this high in over a decade. Leading this revolution for Missouri is none other than Luther Burden.

The Biletnikoff Award is given annually to the nation's most outstanding FBS receiver. Regardless of position, any player who catches a pass is eligible to win. The Biletnikoff is awarded based on a player's performance during the season, not their entire college career.

On Wednesday morning, The Tallahassee Quarterback Club (TQC) Foundation announced the 2024 Biletnikoff Award Preseason Watchlist. This shortlist included 50 names, with 47 being wide receivers. To no one's surprise, Luther Burden represented Mizzou on this watchlist.

Luther Burden is one of the most impressive wide receivers in the country and will head into 2024 at an all-time high. He has established himself as one of the top players in the upcoming draft class, and with more eyes on him, he'll only continue to improve. A native of St. Louis, Burden has helped change the culture of Missouri football for years to come.

The star receiver is coming off a season where he amassed 1,212 yards, ranking ninth in all of college football. Burden led Missouri in the three major statistics: yards (1,212), catches (86), and touchdowns (9). He concluded the season with first-team All-SEC and second-team All-American honors, as awarded by the Associated Press.

With training camp underway, Burden is gearing up for the new season, and we'll get the joy of watching him in just three weeks. Until then, the Cotton Bowl Champs will continue gaining reps in practice as we eagerly await the start of what could be a special season for the Missouri Tigers.
