On Monday morning, we received an update rankings on all the 2025 recruits, thanks to the on300 rankings. For Missouri fans, this was highlighted by a boost in the ranking of five-star quarterback, Matt Zollers. The 6-foot-4, 200-pound quarterback figures to be amongst the best recruits in the country by the time he steps foot on campus.

According to the new on300 rankings, Zollers has been bumped up to the second best quarterback in the 2025 recruiting class. Only trailing LSU commit, Bryce Underwood, who undoubtably will also make an impact upon his arrival in Baton Rouge.

In the article that was attached, Hunter Shelton of on3 sports said the following, "Matt Zollers has a live arm, plus athleticism and perhaps the best individual playmaking skills we saw on junior film at the position. No 2025 quarterback put more high-level reactive playmaking on film last fall. He plays fast and shows the ability to make a number of high-level throws on film."

Zollers has deservedly been receiving a lot of praise nationally in the recent weeks, ahead of his senior season for Spring-Ford High School. He is set up for a monster year, showing off his cannon for an arm in recent videos surfacing on X (formerly twitter).

What makes Zollers such a good fit for Missouri?

Matt Zollers will undoubtably fit the scheme that Eliah Drinkwitz has made so affective for current quarterback, Brady Cook. Zollers posses plus-side athleticism, which Missouri has shown they can do a great job of exploiting over the past couple of seasons with Cook. The "raw talent" is definitely there, so it will be important to see how Zollers fits in with the team.

There is no reason to believe he won't fit in well instantly, especially given the recruiting Zollers has done recently. Over the past week, Missouri has added multiple four-star receivers, all of whom Zollers helped in recruiting to Columbia. Missouri definitely becomes a more intriguing landing spot for skill-position players when a top-2 quarterback talent is committed.
