After Missouri's 51-0 victory over Murray State on Thursday night, the positive momentum kept rolling for the Tigers on Saturday morning. News broke that Missouri had sold out their Week 3 contest against Boston College, marking four official "sell outs" already this season.
Missouri currently holds a six-game sellout streak, dating back to last season, inching closer to their longest in school history. The Tigers sold out their home opener against Murray State, creating an absolutely electric atmosphere for kickoff.
Missouri looked impressive in their season opener against Murray State, securing just their second shutout under Eli Drinkwitz. As 50-point favorites, the Tigers dominated early, allowing a platoon of young talent to get into the game early in the second half.
The Tigers will be back in action on Saturday, September 7th, when they host Buffalo. This game has not yet sold out, and you can bet Coach Drinkwitz will urge fans to recreate the electric atmosphere we saw this past week.
It will be interesting to follow the sellout streak throughout this season, with the Oklahoma and Auburn contests already sold out. With Murray State and Boston College also selling out, the streak will likely hinge on the Buffalo and Auburn matchups. Missouri fans have shown a passion that hasn’t been seen in a decade, and it’s already making a significant impact.
